Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for an Accountant - Capital Accounting to join our Finance Hub team on a permanent basis. The role will be based at our Basingstoke Finance Hub, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Considerable experience of operating within in a shared services role preferably within a similar operating model & size of organisation.
- Qualified or Finalist of ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Extensive experience of multi-currency component asset accounting, particularly relating to global construction projects.
- Awareness as to the impact of global taxation on Fixed Assets would be preferred.
- Experience with complex fixed asset systems landscape and data structures.
- Experience & proven capabilities in process improvement techniques.
- Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Proactive individual with the ability to both operate strategically and tactically and able to effectively manage multiple challenges whilst maintaining high quality throughout.
- Ability to professionally challenge senior stakeholders with vision and confidence in relation to process and policies.
- Methodical and diligent with strong attention to detail essential
- Strong communication skills across multiple levels and disciplines.
- Coordination with divisional finance organisations to highlight/resolve issues.
- Ability to identify key stakeholder groups and provide the appropriate level of detail for financial information.
- Strategic thinker who creates clear plans and objectives for delivering benefits from change.
- Confident to engage and challenge senior stakeholders on change, process and policies.
