Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will play a pivotal and important role by ensuring accurate accounting and reporting that will enable our company to drive forward during this exciting time of growth. As our Accountant you will be responsible for;
- Process Improvement: Actively support in the creation of accounting new processes when required
- Manage General Accounting: Handle daily accounting tasks such as managing the general ledger, reconciling bank statements, AP/AR, and maintaining balance sheet schedules.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Handle month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Tax Filing: Perform monthly USt Voranmeldungen and coordinate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in preparation for audits, work closely with external auditors and manage the process to ensure a smooth and successful audit.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support overall department goals and objectives. Explain complex financial information to non-finance colleagues as needed.
- Helping with the system implementation: Set up the Business Central accounting tool where you will manage general accounting.
Location – This position is based in Germany, preferably in Berlin, with a hybrid work arrangement. Flexibility to travel for meetings with the Berlin-based Finance team is required.
