Description:
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant - Entry Level in Pine Brook, New Jersey. The role requires the individual to work in the field of accounting, with various responsibilities such as reviewing and processing credit application documents, handling transactions and invoices, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process credit application documents in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle daily transaction reports from various state agencies
- Generate, print, separate, and mail statements to various markets
- Ensure the daily receipt of COD checks from the warehouse and review for accuracy
- Prepare daily deposits and conduct bank check scanning
- Monitor accounts payments daily to manage delinquent accounts
- Maintain and update all customer files diligently
- Assist the Accounts Receivable department with customer files, compliance books, and reports
- Develop good customer service skills and resolve delinquencies effectively
- Handle light accounting duties and account transactions.
- Possess basic understanding of accounting principles
- Working knowledge of deposits and account transactions
- Ability to manage accounts receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with light accounting tasks
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with credit applications and managing delinquencies
- Ability to create and manage invoices
- Demonstrated ability to resolve delinquent accounts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using accounting software and tools
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and reliability
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- Willingness to continue learning and improving accounting knowledge and skills.
