Escrow.com is a global fintech industry leader in secure online payments, having handled over US$6 billion in transactions buying and selling boats, web domains, cars, aeroplanes, jewellery and even fine art.
We are seeking an Accountant to join the Escrow.com division and be an integral part of our Group Finance team. As a regulated business, Escrow.com has ongoing reporting obligations to numerous regulators, and this key role will ensure all reporting is accurate and timely. This position focuses on reconciliations and analysis within a trust accounting environment, and you will also assist with month-end close, bank reconciliations, and more.
You will be highly organised, extremely detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, trustworthy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential as you will interact with many stakeholders across the business.
This is an exciting full time opportunity within our Sydney Finance team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Appropriate accounting qualifications (CA or CPA, or currently studying towards these qualifications).
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with the ability to work with filters and pivot tables to manage large volumes of data.
  • Experience with Netsuite is an advantage
  • Proven reconciliation experience, particularly bank reconciliations within a high volume environment
  • Proactive in identifying inefficiencies and committed to improving internal processes.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, particularly during month-end
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Capable of meeting time and pressure deadlines with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and numerical skills
  • Knowledge in SQL would be beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Conduct ongoing reconciliation tasks relating to trust accounting
  • Ongoing regulatory reporting to numerous regulators in the US
  • Providing support and backup to Escrow payment agents, who perform trust Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Prepare of affiliate commissions
  • Preparation of schedules for statutory and regulatory audits
  • Processing of month end tasks including revenue journals, fixed assets, depreciation, accruals, and consolidation of the Escrow division
  • Provide support and backup to other finance functions as needed
