Accountant (Germany)
Position Overview:
We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from payments and expenses to bank deposits.
This includes auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, provide accurate information on our standard KPIs while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations and meeting our deadlines.
The postholder will also be responsible for the accounting books of our Italian subsidiaries.
We are aiming to build the best of class, global finance organization. This comes with implementing and improving processes. This role will work actively in this field while also leading projects.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Ensuring and carrying out correct accounting in accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting for our German subsidiaries.
  • Handling of the invoicing process from order entry to invoicing.
  • Central contact person for our customers and suppliers.
  • Payment monitoring as well as dunning in our automated system.
  • Bank Reconciliation.
  • Support of the corporate accounting department and tax advisers.
  • Collaboration and management on internal departmental projects
  • Account reconciliation
  • Work on local accounting standards, HGB minimum US GAAP and/or IFRS desirable, knowledge of the local gaap of our EMEA (Italy, Germany & France) subsidies is a plus.
  • Deliver consistent, accurate, and timely output

Requirements:

  • Relevant Accounting certificate or Accounting University degree
  • Fluent in German & English
  • Experience in a similar role (5 years minimum)
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge on International accounting standards (IFRS US GAAP and Local GAAP)
  • High level of commitment, initiative, flexibility and very good self-organization skills.
  • Good communication skills in dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a global team and willingness to learn.

The location of role can be flexible but will need to be able to commute to the Ettlingen office 2 -3 days a week
