Description:
Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our client.
Contract Dates: 12 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Range: $40 to $48.04 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up job budgets and monitor costs to ensure they are not exceeded. Ensure all paperwork is completed with authorized sign-off
- Provide high-level analysis of the real estate portfolio for financial reports. Communicate necessary information to produce accurate and timely financial reporting for the Managing Director
- Perform monthly closing entries, including the operating report, journal entries, PTP entries, revenue recording, and accruals
- Review and analyze the General Ledger monthly to identify and ensure transaction are captured accurately
- Prepare quarterly/monthly forecasts, and variance analyses for submission
- Manage and record depreciation of assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accurate reflection in financial statements
- Collaborate with managers/directors to gather necessary data and insights for preparing and submitting comprehensive yearly budgets. Ensure the budget aligns with organizational goals and strategic plans
- Collaborate with the property management team to conduct a comprehensive year-end variance analysis, ensuring all figures are consolidated and accurately reported to management
- Review and approve quarterly lease report
- Provide ad hoc report as directed by management
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum two years of progressive experience in accounting, in the Real Estate industry
- Strong knowledge of Real Estate Property Management, Accounting and Administration concepts required
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ensure accurate accounting procedures and record keeping processes
