We are currently seeking an ambitious and proven Accountant I to join our Finance team as a General Ledger- Inventory & Intercompany (IC) Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for processing intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as inventory. You will also provide support to team members in intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable, collection, and netting activities. This position requires experience in intercompany processing and management, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Perform vouching of Intercompany AP invoices
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit memos, and payment transactions
  • Prepare monthly payment proposals via netting/manual payment TT
  • Support monthly balance sheet dashboard review
  • Ensure adherence to established accounting procedures, policies, and SOX compliance
  • Issue intercompany cross charge invoices to relevant counter party
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly ageing report review for IC debtors and creditors
  • Resolve GRIR/GRNI issues and discrepancies arising from invoices vouching, among others
  • Perform analysis on purchase price variances (PPV) and related fluxes in inventory and intercompany balances
  • Provide support to other cross-functional teams on issues and matters
  • Prepare monthly Intercompany and inventory reconciliations
  • Collaborate with relevant individuals both within and outside the organization as needed
  • Support daily, quarterly, and annual cost roll-up
  • Perform other accounting tasks as required and assigned, including supporting various audits and accurate internal and external reporting
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required and/or assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting / Finance or ACCA equivalent
  • Proficiency in accounting ERP such as SAP, JDE, Syspro and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversations, interactions and business writing with others
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines
