Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Singapore’s financial laws and regulations, and will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns, corporate tax returns, and other statutory requirements in compliance with Singapore’s Inland Revenue Authority (IRAS).
- Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor the company’s financial performance and provide insights to management.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and cost control.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during audits and tax assessments.
- Manage cash flow, including monitoring bank balances, processing payments, and managing relationships with banks.
- Review and improve financial processes and internal controls to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the finance team in ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in Singapore.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
