Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

As an Accountant, Inventory, you will be responsible for the Record to Report (“RTR”) Inventory tasks within the Burberry Finance function, playing a key role in the accuracy of stock and materials management. This is an exciting role which supports and facilitates various decisions from budgeting and forecasting, to projects, GR/IR and accounting policy and internal controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execution of RTR transactions and reports, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and local compliance work within Inventory activities
  • Assisting in various aspects of inventory and wider finance tasks such as GR/IR, Intercompany Clearing, budgeting, business partnering and supporting with projects
  • Supporting the Inventory Senior Accountant and Inventory Finance Manager with functional and entity requests and requirements, requests from external auditors, ad hoc queries and analysis
  • Support on RMX (Raw Material Excess) related activities where required
  • Involvement in bi-annual stocktake process
  • Ensure compliance with the Group Policies, including operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting
