Accountant - Management Accounts - Financial Services
Excellent opportunity opens for a Qualified Acountant to join an exciting Financial Services entity’s London office. The successful candidate will join our Finance department to support the Head of Finance based in London and to provide support to the Finance Associate within our Singapore branch.
A fast paced, dynamic role that requires the upmost professionalism, and a discrete, can-do approach. We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3+ years of experience, or qualified by relevant experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support the Head of Finance in preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Manage tasks such as bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable operations, including managing the accounts mailbox, entering invoices into the Xero accounts system, and ensuring timely invoice approvals.
- Coordinate weekly supplier payment runs.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required by senior management.
- Prepare and monitor Large Exposure reporting under IFPR for cash accounts.
- Support the preparation of regulatory and tax disclosures for financial statements.
- Assist in managing tax activities for the company, including tax calculations, payments, and correspondence with HMRC.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Annual Corporate Tax Return.
- Assist in preparing for and coordinating annual audits.
- Collaborate with the Risk department to prepare regulatory documents, including ICARA, by providing essential financial data.
- Handle additional ad-hoc responsibilities as requested by senior management.
- Ensure that all documents have been shared and provided ahead of scheduled meetings, including Board Meetings
- Managing the administration for corporate entertainment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 3-5 years of experience, or qualified by relevant experience.
