ACCOUNTANT

Our client, a farm equipment and supply company, is currently recruiting for an Accountant based in Honeydew, Gauteng. The successful candidate should come with at least 3 years’ experience within a similar role.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Essential: 3 years working experience in an accounting role
• Essential: Strong Excel skills
• Essential: Previous working experience with Sage300 or Accpac
• Essential: Previous managerial experience (managing at least 2 employees)
• Vehicle and valid Driver’s License

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring all financial targets are met and maintained.
• Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payment of employees.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, prepare and submit tax returns, and manage any tax-related audits.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Inventory Management: Oversee the financial aspects of inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper accounting for inventory transactions.
• Managerial Duties: Supervise and manage two employees, providing guidance and support to ensure their tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• System Management: Utilize Sage300 or Accpac for accounting tasks, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
