We are seeking an accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate revenue reporting and efficient management of our accounts receivable.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Diploma/Degree in Business/Commerce, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years post-education work experience
- Knowledge of handbook (US GAAP), tax regulations
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) and cloud based accounting systems (Quickbooks) is an asset
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes and customer billing. The position requires that you have excellent interpersonal skills and are a collaborative individual who likes to put forward suggestions and ideas on how to improve the status quo. This individual will have a strong sense of ownership and accountability and a passion for working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Revenue (billing, recognition) and accounts receivable process
- Prepare journal entries, prepare month end supporting schedules
- Prepare cash flow forecast in collaboration with teammates
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within and between departments
- Prepare reports and working files for audit, liaise with auditors and assist with requests
- Support on tax credit applications
- Promotes a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment.
