A Day in the Life
As part of the Americas Region, join the Fixed Assets Shared Services Center at Medtronic supporting US, Canada, and Latin America. This position will report to the Americas Fixed Assets Shared Service Center Senior Supervisor. This position is responsible for analyzing and validating fixed asset set-up requests in accordance with company policy, recording the cost of fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, ensuring depreciation accuracy, and providing business unit support.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze and process Capitalized Inventory assets for set-up, retirement, and transfers
  • Oversee and review capital authorization requests
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of Construction in Process accounts
  • Analyze PP&E assets for set-up, retirement, and transfers
  • Interpret, apply, and communicate key Fixed Asset policy classifications
  • Reconcile to GL
  • Maintain files by site location of requested transactions
  • Assist business unit partners with depreciation and capital forecasting inquires
  • Apply accounting knowledge to determine best practices or resolutions for processes or issues
  • Support internal and external audit requests as necessary

Required knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or any other related
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in General Accounting
  • Experience in financial analysis reporting.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and teamwork skills
  • Advanced level of English
  • Proficiency level of Excel

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with fixed assets
  • Experience SAP and fixed assets module
  • Experience with USGAAP
