Reporting to: Senior Finance Business Partner FP&A
Location: Ledbury, HR8
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

Ornua is actively seeking a Site Accountant to join our Finance Department as we continue our growth trajectory. As our next Site Accountant, you will be the lead Financial Accountant for the Operations team at our Ledbury site, helping to drive improvements in operational performance/efficiency, through the provision of accurate & timely analysis of financial variances, overhead spend and capital investment to the Operations teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with operational accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE:

The Site Accountant is responsible for leading on; Operational Reporting & KPI’s Inventory- From a Finance perspective, ensure appropriate inventory controls are in place including providing financial oversight on stocktake adjustments, and reviewing reconciliations Working closely with the CI Lead and tracking CI project savings and validating the same Review of Manufacturing BOM’s, working collaboratively with the Sales and Operations teams Fixed Assets, Capex & Maintenance spend Forecasting & Budgeting Maintain good working relationships with Commercial teams to understand impact of commercial plans across Operations business unit Support Finance Manager to deliver Budget & Forecasting for Operations areas ensuring accuracy, efficiency and meeting business deadlines Support Finance Manager with Month End reviews, projects and other requirements Month end duties (working to Month End timetable, as managed by Finance Manager)

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA (part qualified nearing end of studies may be considered depending on practical experience)
Previous experience within a Financial Operations role in a Manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of Manufacturing and Costing processes including Standard costing
Strong knowledge of product costing techniques and Bill of Material management
Ability to analyse and interpret variances, and drive business improvement through this
Strong ERP system experience
Strong IT skills, including excel (incl. financial modelling)
Strong analytical skills, good understanding of systems, processes and work-flows, combined with business acumen
