Description:

EZ Living Interiors are seeking an Accountant (Part-Qualified) to join our Head Office team in Little Island, Cork.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding Irish-owned family-run company.
This role will oversee the accounts operations for our Northern Ireland Region.

PREFERRED SKILLS:​

  • Previous experience with NI accounts processes, NI Payroll and HMRC, a distinct advantage
  • Proven IT skills, proficiency with Excel/MS word/Office - essential.
  • An interest to learn and develop professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & work to deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 Years (+) Experience in a similar role – Desirable.
  • Ideally, you will be pursuing an ACA / ACCA / CPA accreditation.
  • Experience with SAGE payroll packages. – Desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing all bank transactions and preparing bank reconciliations for our NI operations.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax and VAT returns.
  • Preparation of accounts to trial balance stage.
  • Month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintenance of statistical returns.
  • Input, monitor and run reports on our Intact accounts package.
  • Maintain all transaction processing, including A/P, A/R, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
  • Weekly NI payroll processing using Sage 50 system.
  • Manage the company’s debtors and creditors and optimising its working capital.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Working within the accounting team to ensure the timely delivery of accurate monthly financial information.
  • Assisting in ad-hoc project requirements as required by the Financial Controller
