Description:
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review payroll for SA (National) & SSA (Kenya), to ensure smooth & timely pay-outs
- Manage the accounting function efficiently to maintain overall financial accuracy
- Foreign payments and Forward cover
- Manage the company’s liquidity and financing activities
- Payroll processing or payroll management
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
B.Com General (Finance) / B.Com Accounting
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
- 5 to 6 years’ experience in the same or similar role.
- Payroll processing or payroll management
- Electronic banking and forex dealing experience
- Proficiency with payroll software and systems, including experience with enterprise-level solutions
- Experience in general accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with data analysis and problem-solving
- Experience in treasury management
- Experience in cash flow management, liquidity forecasting, and short-term investment strategies
- Strong background in financial analysis
- Experience with various financial instruments & banking products
- Familiarity with regulations and compliance requirements related to financial transactions, including internal controls and risk management practices
Responsibilities:
Oversees the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting and tax standards. Process financial entries, assist with certain budget processes, and internal controls.
Responsible for processing employee salaries, ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution, and managing tax withholdings and benefits. Address payroll discrepancies and support HR in the adherence to labour laws.
Manages the company’s liquidity and financing activities. Monitor cash flows, manage banking relationships, forward exchange contracts, foreign payments and develop strategies to optimize financial resources and mitigate risks.
