Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to ongoing business needs, we are looking for an Accountant to join our Real Estate Finance team of 6 and continue the support of investment accounting on a, full-time permanent basis. In this role you will deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and be required to build and maintain strong relationships with QIC’s Domestic Real Estate Investment teams.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Undergo accounting for trust top to bottom, including property valuations, capex, NOI balance sheet, key drivers, main centres, developments, projects, strategy, tax, position in wider fund structure and master planning status.
  • Assist with preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and management and statutory financial statements.
  • Maintain lease incentive registers and amortisation on a quarterly basis.
  • Tax compliance including production of taxable income work papers for each property.
  • Monthly lodgement of BAS returns for the funds.
  • Plan year end audit including audit files and liaise with auditors (internal and external).
  • Forecast and monitor cash flows of the property investment entities including maintaining and updating internal loan schedules and cash balances.
  • Complete accounting for acquisition and disposal of properties and working with the other internal stakeholders during the settlement process including calculation of settlement adjustments.
