We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Spring Branch, Texas. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Your tasks will range from processing financial data to coordinating audits, all while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP Accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing input based on your analysis and understanding of the organization’s financial position.
• Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing documentation, explanations, and resolving any issues identified during the audit process.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Tax Compliance regulations, prepare tax returns, and provide guidance on tax planning strategies to minimize the organization’s tax liabilities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy of financial reporting with Process Improvement skills.
• Stay abreast of advancements in accounting technology and assist in the implementation and integration of accounting software and systems to improve workflow and data analysis.
• Handle both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure accuracy in customer credit records.
• Conduct financial reporting and analysis to provide insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities for growth.
• Must possess strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) is required
• Proven ability in Audit and Financial Audit
• Experience with Financial Reporting and Financial Analysis is necessary
• Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Familiarity with Internal Control procedures
• Experience with Corporate Tax Compliance is a must
• Proven track record in implementing Process Improvement strategies
• Ability to integrate various applications (Application Integration)
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks is required
