Provide excellent internal customer service to multiple locations and foster a collaborative and positive workplace environment.
Review and evaluate central and field administrative and accounting processes, identifying areas for improvement, streamlining workflows, and enhancing efficiency.
Support and nurture value-added administrative and accounting processes to minimize waste, reduce redundancies, and improve the quality of financial reporting.
Prepare and review monthly journal entries for month-end close, including accruals, revenue recognition, payroll entries, amortizations, and cost allocations with sufficient supporting documentation.
Reconcile monthly accounts by preparing balance sheet reconciliations for multiple legal entities and providing explanations for any unusual balances.
Assist in coordinating and supporting budget planning and implementation efforts.
Provide assistance with corporate acquisitions, including general ledger setup, vendor updates, Treasury setup, and operational software configurations.
Review, investigate, and resolve errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation and process explanations to support both internal and external audits.
Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to accounting policies and practices.
Assist in the proposal, review, and implementation of accounting and control procedures to meet the company’s goals.
Communicate with local senior leadership to explain financial variances and provide insights.
Apply proactive problem-solving skills to address a variety of accounting challenges with limited standardization or available information.
Train others on accounting matters, software systems, and operational processes as needed.
Manage intercompany transactions, assist with cash management, complete bank reconciliations, and record fixed asset acquisitions.
Perform additional tasks as required to support the department’s goals and objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
5 to 10+ years of related accounting experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with field partners.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software such as NetSuite or similar platforms.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
