Accountant

We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In this role, you will be tasked with handling various accounting functions, including data entry, maintaining financial records, and supporting a team of accountants. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credits
• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking necessary actions when required
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, specifically SAP, for financial services and data entry
• Post to General Ledger (GL) as part of your basic skills
• Handle multiple invoices for every job
• Support Accounts Payable (AP) services within a team of accountants
• Conduct auditing and balance sheet account tasks
• Assist in basic bookkeeping operations
• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for various accounting functions
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) efficiently.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role within the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in accounting software systems is required
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems, ideally SAP
• Solid understanding of accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Experience with auditing and balance sheet account preparation
• Basic bookkeeping skills are essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred
• Professional accounting certification, such as CPA, is an advantage but not required.
