Robert Half is working on an exciting opportunity for an Accountant in the Agriculture industry located in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in the Accounting Department, providing precise and timely financial data to the Management Team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for executing daily duties in alignment with policies, goals, plans, procedures, and budgets. • Conduct daily accounting activities under the guidance of the Controller.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to assist the Management Team in decision-making.
• Utilize Sage Accounting Software for efficient financial management.
• Perform General Ledger functions and prepare Journal Entries.
• Conduct Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage Month End Close tasks efficiently.
• Monitor and manage Cash Activity.
• Oversee the management and accounting of Fixed Assets.
• Perform Account Analysis for financial review and auditing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years experience in an equivalent position or suitable alternative is preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and other related accounting and/or reporting writing software applications.
• Understanding of cooperative accounting regulations, preferred not required.
• Knowledge of livestock industry, preferred not required.
• Organization skills and attention to detail is required.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to communicate responsively via various means of phone, email, and in-person.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and time management.
