ACCOUNTANT – SOMERTON, VIC

With ongoing growth and commitment to customer service, our client is now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their busy team. This role is full-time and ongoing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Ensure that all end of month reporting, financial forecasts, operation and capital budgets are accurate and completed on time.
• Prepare interim and end of year financial statements for review.
• Prepare tax and other compliance returns and monitor tax payments as they are made.
• Assist with the preparation of cashflow forecasts, letters and Business Plans.
• Ensure all balance sheets, payroll, work cover, returns, etc are kept up to date.
• Always maintain positive work relationships, communicating clearly and in a timely manner.
• Awareness of existing legislation, current developments and ATO interpretation that may impact the work you are completing for the business.

TO BE SUCCESSFULLY CONSIDERED FOR THIS EXCITING ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a highly relevant discipline, such as Accounting.
• At least one to two years’ professional, post training experience (preferably more).
• Advanced IT and software skills (specialising in Xero) and knowledge of other accounting software.
• Effective time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
