Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our company. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and analysing financial statements.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Overseeing payroll processing and compliance.
- Completing BAS, GST, and tax returns.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Providing insights and recommendations to optimise financial performance.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA/CA qualification (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
