ABOUT THE ROLE

Join us for a 12-month placement and gain invaluable experience in the heart of a major international corporation.
During your placement you’ll be working within a dynamic team of accountants and financial analysts, supporting the accounting activities of Lockheed Martin UK. This role will provide you with a solid foundation in finance, offering the chance to work with cutting-edge tools, engage with real-world financial data, and contribute to key financial processes.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Data Analysis & Reporting: Support the team by gathering and analyzing data from ledgers and various financial systems. Use Excel and other tools to present insights and contribute to financial decision-making.
SAP System Experience: Gain hands-on experience with SAP, one of the most widely-used financial systems globally. You’ll manage financial transactions, accounting tasks, and become proficient in an essential business tool.
Month-End & Year-End Support: Get involved in critical month-end and year-end activities such as journal posting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, providing you with a real-world understanding of the financial closing process.
External Audit Interaction: Assist in preparing for external audits and work closely with auditors, gaining exposure to the audit process and learning how financial compliance is maintained in a large multinational company.
Process Improvement: Be part of projects that improve financial processes, internal controls, and efficiency across the finance team. Your contributions will help shape the future of financial operations.
Special Projects: Take ownership of or assist with ad-hoc financial projects that challenge you to think critically and expand your financial knowledge.
