JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance team is looking for an Accounting Analyst to be responsible for assisting with the month- end and year- end close. The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and have a strong desire to learn, be curious and strive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in accounting;
- CPA professional designation;
- Minimum 2 years of experience;
- Adaptable and flexible in a changing environment;
- Organized and detailed- oriented - able to set priorities, develop work schedules, monitor progress towards goals;
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues;
- Strong team player;
- Knowledge and experience with Great Plains, an asset;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- English written and spoken – French written and spoken.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the month-end closing process, including inter-company balances and analysis of variances;
- Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling adjusting entries for fixed assets, prepaids; assisting with analysis and reconciliation of payroll liabilities;
- Work with the external auditors to complete their audit by providing the required information;
- Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies, and provide guidance to other personnel;
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures;
- Participate in the improvement & implementation of process improvement projects for accounting processes and internal control procedures;
- Various ad hoc assignments.
