We are looking for an accounting analyst to join our General Accounting team.
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Shared Services, the accounting analyst joining us should be curious and autonomous. Recochem has the ideal environment to contribute to the advancement of the company. Having been a family business in the past, we are currently in the process of building a solid foundation for the future with rigorous processes and the implementation of analyses and controls, so that the results reflect the activities of the month.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes financial statements, produce ad hoc reports
  • Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise
  • Develops and refines techniques that support reporting standard and control.
  • Prepare and upload monthly journal entries;
  • Participate actively in month-end tasks and analyses ( month to month VS prior year)
  • Implementation of processes and work tools;
  • Contribute to process improvement and control;
  • Work in collaboration with other departments;
  • Participate in special projects (Expl: entity implementation, )
  • Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities
  • Other related tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting,
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience working on IFRS standards.
  • Accounting designation is an asset;
  • Curious and resourceful;
  • Experience using accounting systems;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Speaks French/English;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Medium/Advanced in excel.
