Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Analyst responsibilities will include maintaining financial records, reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes. The Accounting Analyst will coordinate with the Accounting Manager and Business Systems as needed and act as an internal escalation point for Accounts Payable and Receivable activities such as researching and resolving aged 3 way match discrepancies and assist in the collection and remediation of past due accounts. The Accounting Analyst will also assist in audit support. The analyst will gather, validate, and prepare transaction documentation on a monthly basis and assist in the preparation of third-party filings.
The Accounting Analyst will report to the Accounting Manager, Americas and be based in Auburn Hills, Michigan

General Ledger and Shared Service Liaison

  • Prepare general ledger entries, maintain detailed records and support and prepare account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager and Global Controller with routine and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Assist in coordination of capital budgeting and fixed asset management processes.

Job Requirements:Experience:

  • One to two (1-2) years’ experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Collections

. Bachelors degree in accounting or finance

  • Experience with creating and/or processing daily entries and reports, invoicing or billing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes and cycles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems
  • Familiarity with accounting, audit and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and organize efficiently
