Description:
We are in search of an Accounting Analyst to join our team in the insurance industry based in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This role involves providing support to our Financial Services department. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to accounts receivables/payables, agent statements, and invoice distribution, among others. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing accounts receivable/payables effectively and efficiently
- Provide support with agent statements as needed
- Carry out the distribution of deductible invoices proficiently
- Prepare daily collection folders for smooth operations
- Process non-payment cancellation and reinstatement notices
- Deal with resolving any billing transaction issues that arise
- Deliver excellent service to all customers to ensure their satisfaction
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for various tasks, including adjusting journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in customer credit records.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounting Analyst role or similar
- Proficiency in adjusting journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Advanced skills in Excel formulas and Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with the insurance industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
