Moore Colson is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated Sr. Associate to join our growing Accounting and Business Advisory team in Atlanta!
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of well-rounded accounting experience preferably in construction. Our corporate accounting team works closely with our clients to provide flexible and scalable accounting support and business consulting to launch businesses to the next phase of growth.
The successful candidate will have strong internal accounting or book keeping experience and be relationship oriented, upbeat, a strong communicator, will have superior organizational skills, and high attention to detail. In this role, you will get hands on, in-depth experience with a wide variety of challenges for clients across various industries. This includes assisting with weekly, monthly and annual accounting close services and bookkeeping, helping with system implementations and conversions, or support of new system designs, just to name a few.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a history of progressive accounting or strong internal accounting / bookkeeping experience is required
- Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop or Online and Excel
- Hands-on experience with month-end accounting processes and management reporting preparation
- Some experience with construction accounting is highly preferred (job schedules, percentage of completion revenue recognition, etc.)
- Any experience with payroll processing that is related tax compliance is a plus
- Exposure using ProSystems Fx Engagement software is a plus
- Prior experience servicing clients in a professional services environment is a plus.
- Ability to travel to client locations within the Atlanta area (< 10%)

Responsibilities:
- Managing or assisting with projects including but not limited to weekly and month-end/year-end close processes, management reporting and preparing reconciliations
- Recording fixed assets and depreciation
- Calculating and reporting indirect taxes
- Helping clients prepare cash flow and or financial projections
- Assisting clients with payroll processing and 1099 preparation
- Troubleshooting client issues as they arise
