Description:
LG Chem is in the process of opening a new office in Bogota, Colombia and we will need to add an individual who has experience with Administration, HR, accounting and tax. This position plays a vital role in overseeing various aspects of a business to ensure the effective operation and success. This is a critical role we need to meet the day to day accounting needs and will be responsible for month/quarter/year end to close the books and assist with financial data for reporting. This role will support tax matters related to tax filing and payment on a regular basis and will execute the day-to-day finance needs, such as AP and AR, as well as analyze financial data for reporting. This is an individual contributor role and involves managing the payroll process to ensure employees are paid accurately on time.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university or program required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-6+ years of experience in general finance or accounting.
- 3-4+ years of full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
- 2-4+ years of Human Resource experience in the areas of local/country employment laws, payroll, employee relations or performance management.
- Full payroll processing with experience using ADP Workforce Now
- Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze large amounts of financial data.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION/WHAT WE’D LIKE TO SEE:
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
- Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
- Excellent analytical ability to effectively analyze large amounts of financial data.
- Experience with SAP is highly preferred
Responsibilities:
HR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Generates Payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transaction including salaries, benefits, taxes and other deductions.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisor, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Additional administrative tasks as assigned.
