REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting and tax rules specific to Mexico, including experience with local tax compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience working with shared services, preferably in an accounting or tax-related role.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead meetings and effectively communicate with collaborators and external consultants.
  • Experience in external and internal audits, including the ability to provide necessary documentation and address inquiries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Fluent interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of accounting and tax regulations in Mexico, ensuring strict compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Lead meetings with collaborators and external consultants to align strategies, discuss financial matters, and provide updates on accounting and tax-related issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments, fostering fluent communication and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of technical reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
  • Support external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any audit-related inquiries.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and tax regulations in Mexico, and determine the impact on our organization.
