ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT, A/R A/P
Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) is hiring for an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our team. The Accounting Assistant will be primarily responsible for all accounts receivable and payable functions and will report to the Administration Manager. As an integral member of the accounting and administration team, the Accounting Assistant will be working closely with project managers and the Landmark management team. This position will ensure accurate and timely invoicing and that all payables are entered correctly and completed on time. This role will require excellent time management, communication skills and attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position, located in Salmon Arm BC.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary diploma in accounting, business, or office administration or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a finance or accounts payable/receivable office environment.
- Proficiency with Sage50 Accounting Software and Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
- Requires an understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:
As an integral part of the Landmark team, your major job functions will include:
- Entering and maintaining accurate project details through Landmark’s Labour Equipment and Materials (LEM’s) system.
- Monthly invoicing for contract and time and material jobs – print time summaries, prepare excel spreadsheets, prepare invoices.
- Receive and reconcile payable invoices/statements and obtain approvals.
- Balance & post monthly Visa statements.
- Prepare cheques and/or pay online vendors.
- Respond to vendor enquiries.
- Government remittances – GST, etc.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Data entry into SAGE 50 Premium accounting software.
- Filing and other duties as assigned.
- Backup to the Administration Assistant and Administration Manager, for additional finance and administration functions.
