Our expertise has made a valuable difference for our clients for the past 100+ years, and we are now looking for an Accounts Assistant for our Howden Axial Fans location in Næstved, Denmark, who will join our team and supports us in making a valuable difference in the century to come.
Howden Axial Fans ApS in Næstved develops, designs and installs axial fans to a wealth of heavy industries worldwide. In addition to the axial fans business, we are the allocated service centre for the Nordic region, covering all Howden and Chart products from centrifugal fans and steam turbines to various types of industrial compressors.

What needs to be done?

  • The main purpose of this role is to support the financial controller with all aspects of group and statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and Chart group policies, helping with financial planning and analysis, helping to answer group queries on a timely manner and being involved in ad hoc projects as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial and management reports.
  • Complete the group reporting for weekly/monthly and quarterly submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for accounts allocated to the business unit.
  • Work closely with the SSC team in Budapest on all month end closing procedures.
  • Assist with the preparation of company forecasts & budgets.
  • Assist with information gathering and questions from internal and external auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation of the statutory accounts.
  • Update SOX narratives to reflect current business processes.
  • This is a full-time position with the possibility of hybrid working, which will allow you to enjoy the balance of working from home and in the office with the team and cross functional teams.

What do you need to bring?

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an accountant or a similar position.
  • Ambitious with the capacity to learn and develop quickly.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS / Danish GAAP.
  • MS Office – high level of ability, particularly in Excel.
  • Proven ability to expertly prioritize and execute multiple tasks under pressure and deadlines.
  • Full proficiency the English language to navigate an international business environment.
  • Communication – strong communicator, easily establishing relations on individual and team level.
  • Pro-active attitude, ability to anticipate on challenges and set-backs.
  • Creative and open mindset with a customer focus.
  • Team player and self-starter.
