Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and fast-learning Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing the daily operations of our accounting department. This role requires strong organizational skills and an analytical mindset.
Supporting the Accounting Department by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, carrying out billing activities, managing ledgers and assisting with audits and year-end close processes.
Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person.
Assisting with the preparation of financial reports.
Processing transactions and carrying out all necessary documentation.
Managing monthly account reconciliation.
Assisting with the improvement of accounting processes.
Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including generating financial reports, developing budgets, preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies.
Reporting any inconsistencies or issues to management.
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or a similar role.
Aptitude for math and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant accounting software (such as Sunrise).
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Highly motivated, reliable, and able to work independently when needed.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
