Description:

Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Assistant will be responsible for posting invoices into Yardi and QuickBooks, completing bank reconciliations, and supporting the accounting department and other departments with the day-to-day tasks as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • College diploma or university degree in accounting or business field
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with Yardi and QuickBooks will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and/or general contractor billing practices will be considered an asset
