DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Associate to join our Finance department. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance & Administration, the successful candidate will support general accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and related financial operations. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and government compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  • Bilingualism (English/French).

Nous recherchons un(e) associé(e) à la comptabilité minutieux(se) et fiable pour rejoindre notre département des finances. Relevant de la gestionnaire principale des finances et de l’administration, le ou la candidat(e) retenu(e) soutiendra les opérations de comptabilité générale, de tenue de livres, de paie et d’autres activités financières connexes. Ce poste comprend la gestion des dossiers financiers, la préparation de rapports, le rapprochement des comptes, et le traitement précis et ponctuel des transactions financières.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including preparing cheques and maintaining accurate records.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports with organized and accurate data.
  • Verify invoices, ensure payment documentation, and support tax compliance.
  • Perform data entry, organize financial files, and monitor expenses to align with budget goals.
  • Analyze budget variances and provide insights for financial decision-making.
  • Assist the HR Partner with payroll operations as needed.
  • Manage government filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives as assigned.
