We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team and work closely with our President of a private company.
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate has a strong background in bookkeeping and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, statements, and reports
- Review and verify the accuracy of various financial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements
- Assist in the inputs to prepare and submit tax remittances and other financial documents to regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with the President to develop and enhance internal control procedures
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar financial role
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures
- Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines
- Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Proficient in Simply Accounting as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
- Must sign Confidentiality Agreement
