Description:
Holland Power Services Inc., a subsidiary of Alectra Inc., is one of the leading power line restoration companies in North America with locations in New Brunswick, Ontario, Quebec, and New England. Our Finance team plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and efficiency of our operations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Entry level – 1 to 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role, preferably with exposure to payables, receivables, and reconciliations is preferred.
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
YOUR SKILLS:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions and data.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar), Microsoft Excel, and other office application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Accurately prepare and record journal entries to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
- Ensure all financial records are properly filed and maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with other team members to support various financial processes and contribute to the improvement of internal controls and procedures.
