Description:

Dawoud Kazimee with Robert Half is offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the Non-Profit industry, based in PORTLAND, Oregon. This role is pivotal in the financial management of our organization, with duties encompassing a range of accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing customer applications, and resolving customer inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accurate records of customer credit applications
  • Oversee grant accounting, particularly with government grants
  • Manage full-cycle accounting duties, including month-end close, general ledger accounting, and fixed assets
  • Provide backup for payroll and accounts payable as required
  • Use Microsoft Excel extensively for tasks such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP
  • Apply critical thinking skills to problem-solving tasks within the role
  • Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of accounts
  • Handle billing and invoice processing tasks efficiently
  • Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
  • Perform data entry tasks as required for the role.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Proven experience in Billing and Invoice Processing.
  • Strong skills in Data Entry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
  • Experience in Grant Accounting and Month End Close procedures.
  • Able to work in a non-profit environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
