Description:
We are in search of an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The role involves a range of accounting duties, including the management of customer transactions and the preparation of bank reconciliations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the maintenance of our financial records and will play a key role in our month-end accounting close processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the posting of transactions from bank accounts, including cash receipts and 3PL chargebacks.
- Take charge of setting up new customers in our system.
- Manage the submission of expense reports related to corporate credit card charges.
- Create a weekly bill list for vendor disbursements.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of our financial information.
- Record inventory-related transactions as needed.
- Aid in the month-end accounting close process, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- 3 + years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
- Experience with Invoice Processing
- Familiarity with NetSuite software
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in Journal Entries
- Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations.
