JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Previous work experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
- Previous experience in hotel general accounting (preferred).
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, coworkers and vendors regarding any problems or concerns associated with making accurate and timely payments.
- Ability to use computers and keyboard, telephones and calculators.
- Ability to read and comprehend invoices, purchase orders, hotel sales reports and various other financial reports.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages to process payments.
- Positive, service oriented attitude toward our guests, our employees and our Company.

Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE
Assist in the day to day accounting operations. Responsible for computing, recording, collecting, analyzing, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records of the financial operations of the hotel. Perform duties in a timely manner and in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, income audit, accounts receivable, general cashier, payroll, and accounts payable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform revenue audit functions by reviewing and verifying daily transactions.
- Prepare and record/post journal entries to the accounting software, Sage100.
- Cash handling functions for the hotel and reconciling cash drops.
- General ledger account reconciliation.
- Reconcile, bill, and post city ledger account payments in the Property Management System (TAP PMS).
- Maintain filing of documents, which occasionally requires grasping, bending and lifting.
- Assist with day-to-day functions of the Accounting office, to include, but not limited to: General Cashier, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Income Audit.
- Maintain office supplies and order supplies as needed through Check SCM.
- Performs other job related duties as, and when, assigned by the accounting manager or financial director
