Accounting/Finance Manager (Sr. Accountant)

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting/Finance Manager (Sr. Accountant) to join our team in the hospitality industry, located in LONG BEACH, California. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing and developing our accounting and financial processes, managing inventory control systems, and supervising staff among other responsibilities.

• Oversee and manage the design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of inventory control systems
• Act as the point of contact for liability claims and work closely with the Director of Security to ensure timely compliance
• Review daily batches of event settlements and close reconciliations to verify revenue and labor
• Prepare reports twice a month and maintain a yearly tracking of events
• Analyze financial information, monitor budget versus actual expenditures and provide advice for budget management
• Attend weekly Finance meetings and other meetings as required
• Supervise the Purchasing Manager for the center, ensuring staff selection, training, supervision, and evaluation
• Reconcile monthly ledgers including receivables, payables, bank accounts, asset/liability accounts and wage/expense accounts
• Assist clients with billing questions as needed
• Act as a backup for AP and AR processes as necessary in collaboration
• Oversee the financial analyst in performing analytics and communications across operations
• Assist Controller with special projects as required.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Must be adept at using ADP - Financial Services.
• Experience with BlackLine is required.
• Skilled in Concur software.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial.
• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions effectively.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.
• Prior experience in Auditing is required.
• Must be able to manage Billing Functions efficiently.
