Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accounting Staff member to join our Company. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards), experience with financial reporting and analysis, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves managing various accounting functions, ensuring deadlines for financial reporting are met, compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the smooth operation of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, able to prepare full sets of accounts
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoicing, invoice verification, payment processing, and collections.
Reporting: Compiling financial statements in accordance with SFRS, preparation of XBRL, filing of AGMs and Annual Returns
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts and monitor budget variances.
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Payroll: Supervise preparation of employee payroll, calculating and submission of CPF
Tax: Knowledgeable in basic Singapore tax laws, experience in tax computations and submission for ECI, Form C and Form C-S, responding to tax queries raised by IRAS, basic knowledge of GST computation and submission, exposure to Employee Tax requirements, including AIS and Form IR8A preparation
Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
Compliance: Knowledge of Singapore compliance laws with ACRA, IRAS and CPF Board
Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.
Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, and/or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, MYOB, QuickBooks and / or XERO
Skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications: A plus, but not a requirement
