POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Accounting Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee and execute the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of f inancial records, compliance with regulations, and the timely preparation of financial reports.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Administration, you play a critical role in maintaining the organization’s financial health while supporting broader strategic goals through accurate bookkeeping, reporting, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Financial Operations

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger

management, bank reconciliations, and credit card transactions.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:

o Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.

o Manage billing, collections, and account reconciliations.

  • Payroll Management:

o Process payroll, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, deductions, and benefits.

o Ensure compliance with applicable tax and payroll regulations.

  • Journal Entries and Month-End Close:

o Prepare and post journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
o Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and
accurate completion.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory

requirements.

  • Audit Support: Maintain documentation and records for audit readiness and assist with internal and external audits.

Analysis and Support

  • Provide financial data and insights to support the Director of Finance and Administration in

strategic decision-making.

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to budget preparation and forecasting by providing accurate data and analysis.

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to financial systems, tools, and processes to

improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Implement best practices in accounting operations and financial reporting.

Key Deliverables

  • Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Consistent and error-free management of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
  • Effective month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ongoing compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
