Description:
A Management Resources client are in immediate need of a an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager Consultant to join our team for a 3-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting practices with significant experience in month end close, accruals ( R& D and Inventory), journal entries, and reconciliations. Expertise in grant allocations and in-depth knowledge in QuickBooks Desktop are essential for this role.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of work experience in a managerial accounting role.
Expert knowledge in QuickBooks Desktop and mastery of Microsoft Excel.
Proven experience in month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and grant allocations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work 100% remotely.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Conduct accurate and timely month end close, accruals and preparation of journal entries.
Executing reconciliations and providing reports summarizing the findings.
Responsible for accurate grant allocations and involve in strategic decision-making regarding the processes.
Provide strong expertise in using QuickBooks Desktop to manage financial data.
Incorporate strong Excel skills in managing and analyzing data.
Provide recommendations to improve systems and processes and initiate corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain financial reports; provide financial figures for the team and upper management to guide in decision making.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local, federal, and state regulations.
