Description:

We are in search of an Accounting Manager, based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, United States. This role will be pivotal in our organization, focusing on driving the monthly financial close process, managing cost systems, and assisting with audit and compliance activities. Your expertise in accounting, particularly in the manufacturing and equipment/engineering environment, will be highly valued in this role. This is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently carry out the monthly financial close process ensuring accurate results.
  • Develop and review General Ledger account reconciliations.
  • Assist with audit and compliance activities as necessary.
  • Maintain and update required documentation in the Corporate SOX database.
  • Develop and manage cost management systems and policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget, focusing on manufacturing cost and working capital.
  • Drive the monthly/quarterly SOX testing.
  • Monitor inventory cycle counts and engage in cost accounting.
  • Oversee other duties as assigned.
  • Utilize skills in BlackLine, Concur, ERP, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Auditing, Quarter-end activities, Month-end Close Activities, and Financial Reporting.
  • Proficiency in BlackLine and Concur software
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
  • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proven skills in Auditing
  • Familiarity with Quarter-end and Month-end Close Activities
  • Ability to perform month-end tasks efficiently
  • Expertise in Financial Reporting
  • Knowledge of Inventory cycles in a business environment
  • Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
