Description:
We have an immediate need for an Interim Accounting Manager with a manufacturing client, located in Montgomery, Alabama. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including managing month-end close processes, maintaining fixed assets, and overseeing journal entries. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire financial close process
- Maintain and manage fixed assets, including booking and tracking
- Conduct roll forward procedures, understanding the requirements and implications of the process
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Analyze expenses and provide relevant insights for management decision-making
- Utilize ERP systems for executing various accounting functions
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed
- Conduct periodic auditing to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
- Significant experience in Accounting Functions is required
- Familiarity with Auditing procedures and principles is necessary
- Capable of efficiently managing the Month End Close process
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or other related accounting designation is preferred.
