Description:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role involves overseeing all aspects of accounting, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team and streamlining various financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Develop financial strategies and plans, and analyze financial reporting packages
  • Manage companywide budget processes, including providing department managers with data on historical spending
  • Manage cash flow, including debt management and collections, and forecasting cash flow needs
  • Oversee payroll processes
  • Compile and deliver timely and accurate monthly/annual financial statements
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, working with managers to design proper control functions
  • Establish and manage invoice approval thresholds to act as a control for large purchases
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, accounting standards, tax filings, and delivery of required documentation to external parties
  • Act as audit liaison and assist in the document delivery and annual audit process
  • Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing training, guidance, and support, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor
  • Proficient in managing accounting functions
  • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Must have auditing experience
  • Proficient in performing month-end close procedures
  • Experience with NetSuite software is required
  • Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is necessary
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
  • Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.
