TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting systems, preferably Quickbooks
  • Fluency with Excel including the following skills (e.g. lookups, pivot tables, graphs). Capable of maintaining and modifying financial templates;
  • Experience with financial budgeting and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ACH direct deposit/payment settlement tools.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our head office located in Mississauga, ON. This is a full-time permanent position with the potential to grow into higher level. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our accounting department and will drive the creation, development and maintenance of accounting systems, processes and compliance for our high-growth company.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Managing the accuracy and productivity of the day-to-day financial activities and streamlining of day- to-day financial processes.
  • Hands-on management of the month-end close process, tax filing and remittance, financial statement preparation, advanced reconciliations.
  • Coordinating the preparation of company and department annual budgets as well as the annual audited financial statements.
  • Preparing monthly financial analysis of budget vs actuals
  • Supporting the monthly and quarterly KPI/metrics reporting process and distribution to key stakeholders.
  • Performing other ad-hoc financial analysis as it may be required.
