For its Budapest office, they are now looking for an
ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Review the work of property and asset managers and maintain ongoing communication with them.
- Gain comprehensive understanding of client structures, including shareholders, transactions, tax setups, and operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific reporting requirements.
- Coordinate client meetings and monitor project deliverables.
- Collaborate with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
- Work with corporate tax advisors and legal teams to ensure local compliance.
- Familiarize yourself with reporting frameworks like IFRS, US GAAP, INREV, and LUX GAAP.
- Ensure team meets deadlines for client deliverables, including financial statements, reports, and tax filings.
- Review deliverables prepared by team members, providing guidance and coaching when necessary.
- Serve as backup for accountants and Assistant Accounting Manager as required.
- Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with team members to discuss performance and development.
- Set objectives and refine job descriptions for team members as needed.
- Support professional development of team members.
- Monitor engagement efficiency of teams.
- Assist in coordinating new business and product implementations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics from a reputable university.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably with Big 4 firms or an international financial services provider.
- Previous exposure to international Real Estate or Private Equity structures is advantageous.
- Proficient understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements is beneficial.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills.
- Capability to thrive under pressure, work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
